„Berlin Laboratory“ is inspired by the local tradition of the Berliner Zimmer (Berlin Room), a space that is both private and public, where work and life are completely integrated.

For a long time, issues revolving around climate and the environment have been one of the important themes in artist Yuan Shun's work. In the „Berlin Laboratory“, there are installations, photographs, paintings, and other works created around this theme since 2000. These works showcase the artist's creative trajectory at different stages in Berlin.
