Sultana Summer Set, Arles

The „Soft Touch“ exhibition presented from March 11 to April 29, 2023 at the Sultana Summer Set in Arles brings together the drawings of some twenty artists. The works on display reveal an important diversity of formats, periods of production, subjects represented and techniques used.Soft touch refers to a type of lamination with a soft and fluffy aspect that can be given to paper. But it is also an expression that defines someone who is kind, friendly, good-natured. So, this exhibition could also have been called "good paw" as an echo not to the malleability of the artists' characters but to their dexterity and ability to create and draw shapes and give them textures. In artistic slang, touch means style.
