Every second breath we take is generated by the oceans. Honouring World Oceans Day on June 8th, 2022, the day that rallies the world to protect and restore our blue planet, this limited print edition by contemporary artist Tim Berresheim will support the environmental organization Parley for the Oceans.
„For me, saving the Oceans means holding on to their beauty.“ Tim Berresheim
In Tim Berresheim’s signature style of computer-generated imagery, the artwork depicts a rippling surface based on algorithms of oceanic wave formations taken from research data published by the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology. While Berresheim's compositions are the product of precise three-dimensional digital renderings, his abstracted linework and tangled compositions evoke the gestures of a swift hand. An included Augmented Reality feature, accessible through a QR-code after purchasing the artwork, the digital origin of
the print edition’s motif can be experienced as a digital sculpture in space.
Tim Berresheim’s limited print in support of Parley for the Oceans will be presented on misa.art on as a 24-HOUR PHYSICAL DROP edition and will be available Jun 8, 2022 for 24 hours only, then never again.
All proceeds will support Parley’s Global Cleanup Network, which works to remove plastic waste from beaches, remote islands, rivers, mangroves and high seas, and intercept ocean-bound plastics in coastal communities. Parley for the Oceans operates the largest global cleanup alliance to end marine plastic pollution, involving 30 countries and 250,000 volunteers. Parley works on marine plastic interception, remote island cleanups, environmental education and oil
spill remediation.

To catalyze awareness and fund initiatives focused on direct impact, education, material science, and eco-innovation.
