SLAVS AND TATARS
Slavs and Tatars is an internationally acclaimed art collective pushing the boundaries of contemporary art by exploring the cultural, historical, and spiritual intersections of Eurasia; the region stretching East of the former Berlin Wall and West of the Great Wall of China.
Since their founding in 2006, they have consistently challenged conventional narratives through their uniquely interdisciplinary approach, blending popular culture, oral histories, esoteric traditions and scholarly research.
This dynamic combination results in thought-provoking works that resonate across global audiences.
Led by Payam Sharifi and Kasia Korczak, the collective engages with audiences through exhibitions, books, and lecture performances.
Recent showcases have been „Schlaraffenland“ at Dortmunder Kunstverein (until Dec 22, 2025), „Creatures of Comfort“ at Odunpazarı Modern Museum in Eskişehir (until July 20, 2025), and „FLAG“ at Galerie Elisabeth & Reinhard Hauff in Stuttgart (until Jan 24, 2025).
